Model Projects of the Panchayat
1. Production Sector
Production Sector
Aims at the prosperity of the agricultural-industrial sectors and increasing the income of the public.
Objective: Achieve food self-sufficiency, eliminate fallow land, and provide seeds and fertilizers to farmers at subsidized rates.
Objective: Increase milk production and create self-employment opportunities through livestock farming (e.g., distribution of heifer calves, construction of poultry sheds).
Objective: Create local employment opportunities and encourage women entrepreneurs (through Kudumbashree).
2. Service Sector
Service Sector
The goal of these projects is to improve basic needs of the people such as education, healthcare, and housing.
Objective: Ensure safe homes for all homeless and landless families in the Panchayat.
Objective: Improve physical infrastructure of government/aided schools (smart classrooms, laboratories) and arrange scholarships and study rooms for students.
Objective: Enhance facilities at Family Health Centres (FHC), distribute free medicines, and organize lifestyle disease screening camps.
Objective: Provide clean drinking water to every home and renovate public wells and ponds.
3. Infrastructure Development
Infrastructure Sector
These projects help improve transport facilities and public amenities.
Objective: Make rural roads motorable and resolve travel difficulties by constructing bitumen/concrete roads.
Objective: Install LED lights on main roads and junctions to ensure night-time safety.
Objective: Construct or renovate dedicated buildings for Anganwadis, libraries, and community halls.
4. Social Welfare
Social Welfare & Development
These projects are set aside to ensure the progress and security of marginalized sections of society.
Objective: Ensure house construction, study rooms, job training, and medical assistance for the SC/ST community.
Objective: Self-employment ventures for women, nutrition distribution for Anganwadi children, and gender-friendly toilets.
Objective: Distribute assistive devices (wheelchairs, hearing aids) to persons with disabilities and establish daycare homes (Pakal Veedu).

Waste Management & Environment
Projects aimed at preserving ecological balance and cleanliness of the region.
Objective: Systematically collect non-biodegradable waste through the Haritha Karma Sena and distribute source waste management devices (compost bins).
Objective: Clean streams and build rain pits in integration with the employment guarantee scheme (MGNREGS).
